STD called Trichmosis questions - Sexually Transmitted Diseases Message Board

I have a few questions that need some real answers. I'm new to this board and in need of some advise.
I am 29yrs old and female. I have been with my boyfriend for over 3yrs now and went to the doctor to find out I have this STD. I just had a papsmear in March of this year and everything was fine. I have only been with this man only! We don't use protection because we were actually going to get married this summer, but now that this has come up, I'm questioning our lives. He tells me he has been with no other woman, and I surely have'nt! So, how can we have gotten this STD? Am I fooling myself and should just admit to myself that my boyfriend of 3yrs. cheated? Or is there any other answers out there that could explain this? I need help because we may be calling it quits due to this STD

Actually, if were talking about Trichomoniasis it can be transmitted ever with the use of condoms. I was recently diagnosed with that myself, even though my significant other and i use condoms every single time. Not only is it possible to get it from sharing the same bath towel etc. but it can be transfered during intercourse just be rubbing up against the skin. Also, a man can have trich for a large amount of time and be completely unaware (more often then not men don't get the symptoms) which is actually the same for women considering the incubation time alloted to this... Don't call off anything until you two talk!!

hey all, i just found out that he messed around with another woman & he says he used a condom, but come on. Anyways I was in this relationship for a few years & even engaged and found out just last week he slept with another girl exactly 3 weeks ago, which would explain why I had what I had. I just thought I could trust him & thought maybe there might be another reason for this happening. But thanks for all of your replys anyways. I was a dummy for thinking I found a truely faithful man, boy was I wrong!
