clamydia and possible pid

Ive been diagnosed with clamydia after unprotected sex about 6-7 weeks ago.
within a week after the unprotected sex I had a sharp pain in my abdomen on the left side lasting roughly 5 days. Im concerned this might be a symptom of PID. Ive been online looking for information on this and the link to fertility problems and all I can find is that early diagnosis is best, but how early is early diagnosis? Is 7 weeks considered too late to prevent fertility problems?

Re: clamydia and possible pid

Hi there,

I had PID once. I had a dull ache that would not go and then a really bad fever. I become very ill as I had to go to hospital. I dont know how many times you have to have it before you come infertile. I have since had a baby after one case of PID.

I hope this information helps you.
