I'm about 8 weeks past possible exposure. For a couple of weeks, I have had sporadic red rashes from my wrists to my elbows, especially on my left arm.
The rashes typically do not last long and then they disappear. I have also had some occasional rashes on my legs, on my knee and even slightly above.
Today as I look more closely at my left forearm, there appears to be some white cracked lines (the cracks are not severe, and I'm not fully sure how to describe the rash/aftermath of a rash, but this is the best I can do). Maybe a little like a sunburn, maybe just some dry skin.
I have read and read and read online. I know this is not smart to do, but now here I am. I know that symptoms aren't everything, but I cannot seem to find a match with other symptoms to chlamydia, gonorrhea, or syphilis (though syphilis is the one I'm most concerned about based on what I've read). I am also concerned about scabies, though the rashes typically haven't itched.
I have also read up on eczema and dermatitis, which also seem possible.
Any advice or ideas you may have would be appreciated. I am getting tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis next week, so I'm just trying to be as educated and prepared as possible before the appointment.
I just got diagnosed with Syphilis. This was the lesser of two evils for me as the person I got it from also has HIV. You got tested and will know your results soon. The things you are worried about are all treatable and that's the good thing!
