Healing from Chlamydia?? - Sexually Transmitted Diseases Message Board

I got chlanydia 2 months ago, I was treated by doxycyclin (Dotur) for 1 1/2 month + an anti-inflammatory (Brexin)...I did a blood test last week that showed I'm totally cured, so the physician asked me to stop the treatment and said I am almost cured. I still feel very slight pain in the balls, it's been one week already, and that s it.

So do you think it is normal to happen? Is it safe to wait, and will it relieve by itself with time, without going on with my treatment? I am a bit worried, please drop a word! thx a lot friends...

Worried.....I got Chlamydia last year and I had to take several antibiotics. The symptoms stayed with me for a couple or more weeks after I was done with the Antibiotics. I had symptoms like burning during urination and testicular pain. You just have to forget about it and one day you'll realize that your symptoms are gone. You'll be ok.

yeah, i'm worried about this too. i took my one-time dose of azithromycin a week and 3 days ago, and i'm afraid i still feel symptoms. i feel a little itchy and i'm experiencing a little bit of an ache in my abdominal area. i keep worrying that i have some other STD too, but the doctor checked me for gonorrhea and said i was negative. so i'm wondering if maybe the chlamydia is just taking a little more time to completely clear up ...

i intend to make another appointment to be re-tested but it takes a while to get an appointment at the clinic. it'll probably be 3 weeks before they'll see me, and i don't want to make myself sick worrying til then.

Did you'll symptoms ever go away??? I'm going through this very thing right now. I don't know if I'm healed???

i was treated for chlamydia months ago with azithromycin & you're supposed to wait a week until you can be sexually active again.i didn't have any symptoms for this STD and my bf didn't even get it! i'm still wondering why he didn't get it when it is an STD... but he took the medicine i took bec. i forced him to go get checked.. heh
