I'm 42 and a few years ago I had unsafe sex and my behind has had a sore every since! Most of the time it's right in the crack of my butt(sorry for being so gross). It itches like crazy and it's so sore if it breaks open. It has a little fluid that comes out when it breaks. Everytime I go to the doc, it's gone by the time I get there and then it comes back a couple weeks after I've been to the doc. My doc is 100 miles away and that doc is free. It seems to come almost every month. Do you know what it might be? Is it herpes?

I hate to say it, but definately sounds 'like' herpes.

There's an at home testing kit that you can order, unfortunately I don't have the info, but if you search the archieves of the herpes board, I'm positive that it's there.

Best thing to do, is to get a blood test when you go to the doctor if the sore isn't active enough to culture at the time. See if you feel any different - tingly, feverish, before it starts to be 'active.'
