Unhappy dont know what to do! =(

okay well i am new here and i just need people to help me and i just need to let things out. In may i went to my doctor for my period and she gave me a papsmear and it came back abnormal and also that i had gotten chlamydia. so i told my mom about the pap but not about the chlamydia. so she brought me to a obgyn and he was very mean and stuff but he gave me no choice other than to tell my mom everything. that was very hard for me because i am not at all close with my mom so its really hard for me, i feel like she isnt there and that now she just looks at me and thinks bad things. but anyway so i went to see the doctor and he gave me another pap and retested me. about a week ago my mom called them about my results (i saw them on june 19th)and the lady said that i still had to come back because my pap smear was still abnormal. but today this lady from the hospital called and said that the results that my mom wanted came back. and its just so hard for me because i get good news then bad again! and on the 30th i have to get a colposcopy done and im so scared about that because im scared that i might have hpv. and im trying not to stress because it might just make things worse but this whole situation has made my life worse than it already was. im trying not to worry because the results that my mom is calling about today might not even be bad but i dont know its just been really hard for me. it seems like all i do is cry.

First I want to say sorry that you are going through this. I am guessing you are underage...

Anyways first know this...your mom loves you very much (I know sometimes it doesnt FEEL that way) ...I dont think she is thinking bad things, however she may be very disappointed in you because she had high expectations, so you cant really blame her for feeling this...I am sure she wanted better things for you then being with someone so young..So you really have to put yourself in her shoes looking at the situation. Dont look at it in your view look at it in her view...I mean think of how you got in this situation (sex)...I imagine your mom is hurt..

Enough on that...what you need to do is take a breather. It is a good chance you have HPV...it is NOTHING to worry about. You do have to keep in mind that it is very contagious and even condoms will not save a person....you can build up your immune system and keep it under control...

Everything will be fine...Go take a look at the thread "Q&A on HPV" you will get ALOT of info there, and will know there is a better light up ahead....

Dont stress you are among thousands and thousands of people who has HPV...80% of the population have HPV...

Dont worry you will be ok...I know EXACTLY what you are feeling for I am in the same boat...I too have HPV.

thank you and yea i am trying to keep my head up because it could be nothing at all. i could have hpv and i might not have it. im trying to relax and just deal with things when i really know if i have anything. i read somewhere on here that a girl had chlamydia and her results for her paps after that kept comming back abnormal for awhile but she didnt have anything. im just trying to look at things at all perspectives. the guy that i got it from doesnt have any signs of hpv and he has gotten tested for chlamydia and is okay but u still never know. so we will just have to wait and see.

hey there...

i'm sorry you have to go thru this.... i've been there... almost exactly where you are right now... i had chlamydia, and had to be treated 3 times for it.. it wouldn't go away... kept coming up positive when i was re-tested for it... FINALLY, it was cured... 2 months and about 80 doc visits... but, it was cured... then i get the call my pap is abnormal... i've had paps every 3 months since then, so after about a year of this, my doc decides to test me for hpv... came back negative... which is what he thought anyway... although hpv is leading cause of abnormal paps.. its not every cause... the fact that you had sexually transmitted infection like chlamydia, is probably the reason your paps are abnormal... try not to worry... whatever the outcome they can treat you.... i had a colposcopy and i'm going for another one this month... they're not that bad, and they show alot more to the doc then just a pap.... most importantly, keep seeing your doc and follow his recommendations.... as the other poster said.. your mother loves you.... however she may or may not react isn't important.... she wants to see you healthy too regardless of what got you unhealthy to begin with....

take care...
