Herpes and Warts??? - Sexually Transmitted Diseases Message Board

I'm 20 years old. Last June I was diagnosed with herpes. So I've come to accept that I have herpes, but still can't admit it to anyone but myself. But now I have another problem. In late July I noticed some bumps, but I thought that just maybe they were my herpes because I felt like I was going to have an outbreak, and was new to the whole herpes thing. But now I'm certain that they are warts. They are pink bumps that can be seen and felt. But I'm vary scared and embarrased. I know that I need to go to the doctor to get them diagnosed and taken care of, but I'm really scared. I'm also embarrased thast my doc will know that I have 2 stds. I didnt want to go to the doc when I thought herpes was my problem before, but I was in extreame pain, and I knew that going would be the only way to stop it. So could some of you please tell me what to expect when I go to the doctor for this. Will he test if the bumps are warts by scraping one off? Does it hurt to get these treated? and will my skin ever look normal again? I appriciate any advice I can get. Thank you for reading my message.

PJS0374-Thank you for your message-it makes me feel a little better. I plan on making a doctors appt this week. It seems as though the warts have began to go away on the side that had the most(they are just small dots now), but now the other side seems to be getting more. I was wondering are you a doctor? I thought this because you said 'we' when refering to doctors. And you said that because of my herpes it will require treatment. Could you please tell me some more about this. Is there extra risks with having both of these stds?
