| Diagnosed w/HPV-wondering about other STDs
In March of 2012 I had a one time encounter with another guy- mutual masturbation, a little oral both receiving and giving, neither of us climaxing from oral... a few weeks later, came down with general cold/flu symptoms. Developed a white coating on my tongue, had some swelling in my throat. Was tested for STDs at that point, but understood that it was too early- but was tested for HIV, Syphilis, Gon/Chla. All negative. White didn't go away. Tested negative again at 3 months for HIV, then tested for all again at 7 months, again negative. Developed a genital wart inside my urethra as well as sensitivity in my genital area, and was diagnosed with HPV, although I don't know which #. Still have the white coating on my tongue- it's rough, have a few bumps on my tongue also, and some bumps/rough areas in my mouth. I've done the searches on Google Images and alot of the pictures that look similar to my tongue are of people with syphilis. Of course, having been tested twice, once early and once quite later, my doctor is convinced that I don't have that, nor do I have HIV, or other immune system diseases.
Am I crazy for entertaining the notion that the testing may have been inaccurate? The test used for the syphilis screening was the RPR. I would like to hear other people's opinions.
