Chlamydia & STI testing questions
Okay here goes,
I am a 19 year old female. I recently lost my virginity to my now ex-boyfriend about four months ago. he was and still is the only guy i have had vaginal intercourse with and we did have unprotected sex. I have never had anal but I have given oral to one other guy before him, but it was a long time ago. my issue is i went to the gyno about two weeks ago because I was having strange discharge and she tested me for Chlamydia and it came back positive. me and my boyfriend recently broke up and when i told him that i had Chlamydia, he said he was confused (He has no symptoms) and said the last person he had unprotected sex with besides me was his ex, in august and he claims that in august he also got a STI screening done and told the doctor that he could test for everything, the doctor told him that he would call if anything came up and if he didn't receive a call he was in the clear. he did not get a call so basically my ex feels like he could not have had it before he met me (basically he's not sure if he believes i didn't give it to him) , unless he got it from receiving oral and I am not the only girl he has gotten oral from. He also asked "what if i come back negative," this is impossible unless i got a false positive.
my questions are:
1. is it possible that the one other guy that i gave oral to could have given me Chlamydia and me not know it and by me performing oral on my ex, given it to him? (i should point out that i did not get tested for Chlamydia in the throat).
2. Are doctors required to tell you your STI results rather positive or negative or is common to hear the statement "we will call you if anything is wrong?" ( basically is my ex lying?)
3. is it possible that if he was not lying about the screening, that he got a false negative? (he peed in a cup)
and finally 4. why is it that even though he was the only person I had sex with, i had to be the one to find out i had chlamydia and i had to be the one to break the news and look like the bad guy (rhetorical question, that's just my luck)
thank you to anyone who answers
