About 2 years ago, I developed acne on my chest. The skin on my chest became very greasy and it just felt bumpy all over. Some of the pimples had pus in them, but most of it was little bumps that, when squeezed, a hair with a hard plug on the end would come out. I thought it was because of the scented body lotion I'd started using in the shower. So I started using regular soap instead. But it didn't get any better. I lived with it for about a year and a half. I never wanted to buy those special acne treatments or soaps from the store because I didn't want to spend the money and then find out they didn't work.
A couple months ago, I came here to the acne board, and someone told me that I should try not using soap on my chest in the shower- that the warm water is enough to kill any bacteria anyway. So I tried that for a while, but it didn't help.
So finally, I bought Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash. I noticed a difference after only using it once. I've used it every time I've showered for the past couple weeks, and the acne on my chest is almost completely cleared up! There's such a huge difference, it's amazing.
I know it sounds kind of stupid to be bothered by body acne for almost 2 years and not try something simple like an acne body wash from the store, but when I finally did, I was actually surprised that it worked!
