Just washing face with soap helped me
I got acne with about 12yo, and it started really severe and I used various things on my skin, cleaning it with alcohol.. Alcohol helped a lot, but I was said that I was drying my skin a lot when overusing it.. I used some things that made thin layer masks over my skin, but actually it just felt imprisoning, and acne even got worse. Then I used something called ClearSkin as I remember, which made my skin sticky! Like I covered it with honey..
So I abandoned everything, and just started the most fundamental thing, WASHING FACE REGULARLY (like at least 3 times a day) with WATER and SOAP, the thing that sounded and felt most reasonable and natural... And plus I enjoy the clean and fresh and nice scent feeling after washing the oily face... AND IT SOLVED MY ACNE IN MATTER OF FEW WEEKS!!! It also kind of inhibits the obsession of plucking the acne, just like hair washing removes the need to occasionally scratch the scalp. And now whenever I feel my face is oily, I wash it, easy, and no products.
I look at my sister and she is still using a ton of products and spending lot of money on dermatologist as well... But she and everybody doesn't believe me, and say that I got out of my puberty just in the same time (but I was 16 then), and that soap actually just works as alcohol cleaning, but drying the hair.
BUT!!!!! But, whenever I don't wash the face regularly, acne show up again. And one more proof is that for example when I had longer hair, washing face was harder and sometimes I don't reach the under-ear area, and on that same place, I soon get acne... When I start washing this area again, they dissapear.
I am 21 now, and
I AM HAPPY WITH MY PRODUCT
