| First anxiety: adverse reaction to Nyquil
... my first major anxiety attack was in my early 20s and was spurred by an adverse reaction to Nytol or Nyquil, taken for some cold symptoms I was having. As best as I remember I took the Nyquil, fell asleep and woke up in a complete panic. Although it was the middle of the night, I had to go to a friend's place. It's hard to remember, but I was in a bad state for a few weeks - disaster.
