Married DH in June 2004, I was 27 he was 28. Began TTC July 2005. I have other health issue (uveitis - eye condition / swelling within the eyes), treated with oral meds harmful to conceiving and carrying a fetus.
From July 2005 - July 2007, we ttc around my oral med cycles. When my symptoms were in remission-like state, we would TTC. When I needed to go back on the meds, we would hold off.
July 2007, although on-and-off trying, I suspected a problem. OBGYN suggested SA and BBT charting for 3 mos. My charts proved ovulation was occuring normally, DH's SA proved male factor issues. First SA in July 2007 was 26 mil. Second SA in Aug 2007 was 6 mil. Poor motility, morphology.
Sept 2007 - I was diagnosed with early stages MS. Lesions on MRI's, tingling and numbness sensations in different parts of my body. Discussed with neurologist about holding off on MS meds, in order to TTC.
HSG Nov 2007 showed clear fallopian tubes.
Dec 2007 first appt with RE, roughly on CD 14. Discussed IUI vs. IVF possibilities. IUI could work, since DH's levels weren't too terribly low. We opted to try 4 IUI cycles before moving on to IVF.
1/2/08 ~ IUI#1/Clomid BFN
1/29/08 ? ~ IUI#2/Clomid (should be sometime early next week)
**currently treating uveitis with injection of med directly to the area, so as not to harm a possibly / soon-to-be developing fetus. Still being closely monitored.
