| My lymes disease story.
I was diagnosed with Lymes Disease in October of 2008 when I was 12 years old. I was bit by a tick in May 2008. While at the ocean in August 2008 I had a rough night of flu-like symptoms. The next morning I was perfectly fine and we headed home.
I didn't start seeing anymore symptoms until September 2008. Until I started having symptoms like Nausea (big one), no stamina, lazyness, fatigue, and OCD type symptoms. I tried doing everything, stomach x-rays, blood tests. Then me & my parents though, it might be lymes disease. We immediatly scheduled an appointment with a Lymes specialist in the area and he diagnosed me with lymes disease. I couldn't believe it; I wanted to cry. In January of 2009 I had strep throat. This led to a disease called P.A.N.D.A.S. I didn't know what this was and I didn't really care. In around February of 2009 we started seeing a P.A.N.D.A.S doctor. She put me on steroids to stop the bad cells being sent to my head. I started feeling better and at that point we knew it was P.A.N.D.A.S. In July of 2009 I went to the hospital and had an IVIG done. Immediatly after the precedure I felt better. During my 8th grade year I'd need some time to rest, and stay out of school, but now as of July 2010, I barely feel bad anymore. I thank god and all my doctors for helping me feel better. I am now 14 years old and heading into my freshman year.
