| Amazing...
I've been married to DH for going on 15 years, and we've not been able to conceive since starting probably on year 2 or 3. Several years ago we went a few clomid rounds, clomid with IUI and then IUI with injectibles to no avail. In 2006 we adopted our beautiful little boy in an open adoption which is awesome. We still didn't feel our family was complete. OUr boy needs a sibling at home, you know?
So this year we pooled all our money (and some that wasn't ours) to give IVF a shot. This was a one shot deal. With ICSI we were able to successfully fertilize four eggs, but only two embryos made it to transfer day.` Two embryos transferred--none frozen. Yesterday I had my first beta, which was really great at 107 and all looks well. I never thought I'd be 38 and pregnant! I've got many fears, especially being so early in the pregnancy, and also many fears about parenting two instead of just one (which can be hard enough!). Anyway...that's my miracle story.
I've seen some of you on the infertility boards and am happy to join you here!
