Hi,
I'm back--and I've had facial shingles for 14 days now. Believe me--you don't want it!
The rash has lightened some but the Opthalmologist, on last Fri. said I have 2 lesions inside the eye--that's not good. I'm on Econopred 4 times a day now. I've had 10 days of an antiviral medication and am on Lyrica for the nerve pain. The pain was better, but today the pain around my eye and the itching is worse. Can I safely use Calamine lotion on my forehead and temple area for the itching? I'm using Neosporin ointment but it just moistens and heals it and doesn't stop the itching. The burning pain is behind my ear and down my neck. It's not as bad as it was. The 'pulling sensation' around my eye drives me crazy. The only relief is an ice pack. Has anyone had this on their face?
I sure could use some advise. Thanks.
