jarin1988 Junior Member (female) Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: dallas,ga USA Posts: 17	Herpes and Shingles outbreak About 1 month ago I had a herpes and shingles outbreak. I had 1 herpes outbreak about 3-4 years ago and I thought this was just a bad yeast infection. It was about 2 weeks ago I finally went to the doctor and he put me on Valtrex and Prednisone. I never imagined shingles could be so painful. I have never had shingles before. The shingles sores are finally drying up, but are still painful. How long will this pain last? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Lynn
