I got facial shingles in July! They affected my eye and I now have shooting pains around the eye area and my brow and under it are 'numb'. However, the itching (deep down) is there and never a day goes by that it's not present and really hurts--a painful itch.
I see an opthalmologist every 3 or 4 weeks, and was told I have 'epi-scleritis' which is inflammation of the white portion of the eye. I use steroid drops and another allergy drop daily. The vision is blurry in this eye and it feels like something in it alot of the time and feels like it has water in it too. Has anyone here had this problem following shingles? If so, how did you treat it and how long did it last? I had a really bad case of painful, red, itchy shingles on the right side of my face!! Thanks.
