| Shingles without the rash
I've been told I have shingles, but I don't have a rash. The last time I felt exactly the same way (with the extreme pain just under my skin, made worse by hair brushing against it, or wind, or heaven forbid, someone touching it) but no rash then either. I *do* however, have a blister on the roof of my mouth. Just the one, and it's on the same side of my body as the rest of the pain and I'm wondering if anyone has ever gotten shingles with no rash, or with just one blister.
The pain is enormous and unrelenting. Even prescription strength ibuprofen isn't touching it.
