Re: I have just got over shingles why do I still feel so tired
Don't know why it happens. I had shingles 1 1/2 years ago, and I was tired afterward for months after the pain and rash went away. So tired that relatively short walks would have me huffing and puffing as if I had run a marathon. I remember walking on the side of a mountain with some people at a public park, and we had a leisurely walk back to our cars. I was so tired, I was hanging on my car to stay standing, breathing so hard I couldn't talk, and so tired I couldn't even open my door so I could get inside and sit. They were ready to go somewhere else, and were quite alarmed at my condition. I still don't feel like I have my old level of energy back, because I tire faster than others now, and I used to be the last one going. But it did gradually get much better, and doesn't affect me much now. I put it down to age, but know it was the shingles.
