Question HSV2 vs. Shingles

I was tested positive for HSV 2 several weeks ago. I had shingles around 3-4 years ago. Could the shingles antibodies be confused with antibodies for HSV2? My boyfriend of several years tested negative for HSV 2.

Re: HSV2 vs. Shingles

Was the result for IGG or IGM (titer), IGG is a definate positive IGM is just detecting antibodies for different strands of herpes, 1, 2, zoster etc.
