I am a 47 year old female and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia since 1992. I have been getting shingles on my left eye since 2003 and the episodes are now chronic. My doctor has put me on daily anti-viral meds and I am still getting the shingles. My left lymph gland near my ear is constantly inflamed regardless if I am on the meds or not. I also get deep itching that is so bad that I bruise. I also have a constant red rash/discoloration on the left side of my neck that has been there for several months. My doctor is sending me to a specialist next week, but because my blood work is normal my doctor does not think they will do anything for me.
I am going to an ear, nose, and throat doctor who is also a surgeon. I have been having a difficult time getting any doctor to recognize that this could be serious.
I believe it is just a blood test---I know rash on face and neck is a sx
I have had the test and fine
however I do have a rash on part of my neck and face, not all the time, it is sorta like under the skin. When it first came up was when I had a bout of really bad migraines, and Dr said it was from that.
But I would ask to have blood work for most anything. I had thought they had done all the blood work they could ever come up with, but still find things they keep testing for
