Shingles??

Four or five days ago I noticed I had a strange pain in my upper arm/shoulder area. The pain was coming from inside (like maybe a muscle strain or pinched nerve), but the actual skin around the area also felt sore when I touched it.. it felt as if the skin had been burned or something. Then today, I noticed a rash has formed on that area of skin, and the muscle strain/pinched nerve feeling is still here too. I'm wondering if this could be shingles?? I'm 23 years old, and from what I've read it's more likely to get shingles when you're older. I don't know what else it could be though. If it is shingles, will it spread to other parts of my body?? and how long will it last??
