Shingles, palpitations, and near-fainting
Hi everyone. Four months ago I was diagnosed with shingles on the left side of my face along the vagus nerve. In the last two months, I have had near-fainting episodes, preceded by two to three hours of palpitations. My cardiologist said these near-fainting episodes are referred to as vaso-vagal syncope (named after the vagus nerve). Do you think the shingles and the near-fainting are related or is this just a medical coincidence? Has anyone had shingles or near-fainting happen in close proximity? Thanks for your help.
