Post-shingles pain?
How long does post-shingles pain last? A friend got the shingles in May and is now having a lot of the post-shingles pain, (mostly at night). Does it ever go away?

Depending on the severity of shingles and nerve damage the pain can be lifelong. I have been fortunate when I have had the shingles to have no permanent pain but my friend's dad had nerve damage and had surgeries to cut off the nerves involved.
