Left shoulder trauma from a direct pull

I suffered a left shoulder trauma over the weekend as a result of a violent rope pull during a survival/assault race.

I have not come across many cases where a dislocation has been the result of a direct pull, always a fall or impact. I did not dislocate at the time but the feeling a day after is that its about to pop and feeling generally unstable. Cuff mobility and range of movement is currently tight but not overly painful to make me think impingement or tearing.

I have had previous problems on the right shoulder which was surgical corrected over 16 years ago but I still recognize the feeling very well.

Anyone else had a similar experience with a tear or dislocation which was the result of a pull.
