As most of you know i had my third shoulder surgery December 6th 2010. IT was for a full thickness tear in the rotator cuff and to remove a little of the collar bone. Work comp keeps dragging out for me to get therapy. They finally approved it and I start Thursday January 27th, which will be a little over 7 weeks since surgery. I am currently still in a sling. I along with my surgeon are now worried about frozen shoulder. He feels with the extent of surgery done that if the shoulder freezes the surgery will be for nothing. My question being is with the time i start therapy which will be between the 7 and 8 week mark after surgery and still being in a sling 24/7 how long does it take for the shoulder to freeze and with the type of surgery if it froze or if not how long before i can go back to work lifting an average of 30 to 40lbs on a regular basis? Also what are the symptoms for frozen shoulder?
