hello everyone, first time ever posting on this type forums.i need some help,i injured my neck at work about 9 months ago,and the whole time my traps have jus been on fire ,neck so stiff along with my right shoulder.anyway i went through 5 w.c. drs.and finally i have been diagnosed with tos thoracic outlet syndrome (rare)and a torn labrum in my shoulder.now this dr.who i go see on 5/26 says he is only going to fix the tos and that he thinks the torn labrum pain is really jus coming from the tos.my shoulder cathces and pops when i go lateral overhead or anything behind my back,my pt.even tried things hears the popping and said i failed the test and said he thought it was torn.hears the thing that i just found out about, when i was there 6 weeks ago he siad he would inject my shoulder when he did he asked if it felt any better after about 30 seconds and i said no.last week talking to my w.c. rep she said that the injection was a test they use and if i had said it did help that would have meant that the pain is coming from the tear.i know the pain is from the tear and not the tos ,im scared now that this w.c.dr.is just going to blow this off and i cant let this just go away, because theres lots of pain,i hope someone can help ,thanks rodney........
Welcome, It is now 9 months since this happened. You will be joining the chronic pain ranks soon. There are 75,000 physical therapists in America who spend many years training and working on necks and shoulders, go and see one soonest, dont waste more time waiting and wondering.
