My Dr. did an MRI on my right shoulder and said I would need surgery soon. This was my primary doctor, and he is referring me to an Ortho surgeon who does shoulders. He said I have several tears in the tendons and one tear has formed a cyst. I'm 60 years young, and have problems raising that arm at all, and can't stand any pressure on it. It basically hurts weather I use it or not. Can anyone tell me what I might expect when I do go in to see the surgeon? I have had 2 back surgeries and one neck fusion in the past year, so I'm not looking forward to another surgery very soon. I know this sounds strange, but the pain has been very bad since I had the first surgery on my lower back in August, 2010. Could they have stretched my arm the wrong way, or it just could be to my former job that involved allot of lifting and pulling of baggage for ten years.
