I had reverse shouolder replacemennt 8 weeks ago, the dr. had never did this surgery so he hasn;t told me antthing . has anyone had this surgery and had horrible 8 weeks laer.
Never heard of this operation. So you have no ball and socket joint now?

my roto cup was gone, i went in for shoulder replacement i surgery they couldn;t make the parts fit so they did reverse its some kinf of hardware that screws on to bones in shoulder your humerous muscle moves your arm i have only a little movement lots of pain after 8 weeks.the dr had never did this so they wont tell me anything. i'm new to posting on boards so hope i did it right.
I did have one surgery to screw my arm to my shoulder ball joint & rotator were crushed no help & c4 thru c8 nerve damage so I had the first surgery that was not fun in cast 6 months but I hope it makes you better I need ball & cup built & put in

i don''t hurt as bad as before surgery.my humorous muscle is what makes my arm move, since the roto cup is gone, if they can do replacement surgery that would be better than reverse.i pray it will get beter.
With the reverse replacement the humeros muscle moves your arm.I can raise it up and out to your side,but i can't move it behind me or lift anything. it's my left arm so i'm ucky i have my right arm.
my arm was ripped from shoulder ball joint rotator were smashed unrepairable so my arm is just screwed to shoulder 10 screws 2 plates my arm does not move no ball joint or rotator yes i went 8 weeks in a velcrose cast sleep on your back & blood rushes from your fingers make it 8 weeks don't try to make it go faster you will damage it more i on the other hand made it thru that surgery & now i need to find a specialist to make me a ball joint & rotator cuff otherwise its amputated which doesn't change anything as of now i can't use it i've learned how to open a slice of cheese & difficult showering & no shoes with laces luckily where i live you wear boots with shorts
listen make it thru the pain you will be ok 8 weeks are nothing compared to a lifetime have a great day screwed in
Glad you have your other arm my issue is w/out my left ball & cuff I'm littery screwed bone to bone (I have a scan shame I can't show everyone) but its pulling all nerves muscles to the left & closing nerves & veins thru the neck & it's getting to the point that my right hand is getting weaker & the right shoulder is starting to pop due to having to compensate not having a left arm thank for reply

do you know a dr. that does reverse shoulder replacement they put a ball where your roto was with screws and you humurous moves your arm
