| Bicep tendonitis
I spent the last 6 weeks in a short arm cast on my right arm. This is the same arm I had decompression surgery on a couple years ago. While that surgery went well and I regained my ROM, I still have issues with multidirectional instability. While in the cast, I ended up lifting my shoulder and elbow at odd angles to accomplish tasks, like typing. With all of those things combined, I've ended up with some shoulder spasms and bicep tendonitis. I still have a ways to go in wrist therapy before I can get back to normal use of my arm. This is making my bicep issues secondary, but I had bicep tendonitis pretty badly prior to my shoulder surgery in 2008 and I don't want it to get that bad again. Any suggestions for helping with the bicep tendonitis in the meantime? Right now, I'm taking a prescription NSAID, occassional muscle relaxers when it is bad, and using ice on it when I ice my wrist.
