MRI, Pain, and Racing Against Time

I didn't know the MRI on left shoulder would be somewhat painful. What a tight little contraption they put it in. It's been achy all day since.

Prior to the MRI the tech asked: Do you ever have sharp pain? umm yes Pain down arm? yes
Tingling? yes A popping sensation? yes
She looked at me like, seriously? I'm thinking, I've had this problem for way over year, so I have had about every variety of pain you can think of.

Question: I feel like I'm racing against the clock to get little projects done this summer before possible surgery. Did anyone else have that feeling?

Re: MRI, Pain, and Racing Against Time

hi, i just had rotator cuff surgery may 14. I had an MRI but didn't have any problems with it then again I was already on pain meds. Have you had PT yet? Once you get those results back you'll have a better idea of what's going on but if you can avoid surgery I'd recommend that and try PT first. However, if you have a full tear you'll have to have surgery I'm sure. PT is rough afterwards that's what I'm dealing with now. Let us know what the results are. good luck, cj
