has anyone tried this? if so did it work and how bad was the redness it caused? also how long did it take before you started to see results. My derm said it would be a few months at least. Thank you.

Re: topical retin A

I used it for about 4 days. It left my face very very very the worst its ever been broken out. My face was red and burnt as well. The skin was very raw and sesitive around my nose and mouth. I did reduce the oil production but I didn't think it was worth it.

yeah, a few years ago - didn't like it. It dries the skin WAY too much. You should consider Renova instead - its the same thing just less harsh.

Renova? I have never heard of it. Does it have to be prescribed by a doctor? also is that what you currently use? Thank you

Re: topical retin A

if u decide to try retin-a get retin-a micro gel. it works better than the cream. there is less irritation and plus the cream has some ingredients that are pore clogging. so go with the micro gel. i've been on retin-a micro gel for over a year. the redness wasn't that bad for me and it was never really a problem for me. but it's true that it subsides after u've used it for awhile. i saw improvements almost right away including my marks fading. it took awhile for the red marks to go away but it worked for me. good luck.
