Re: what do u do when u have tried everything

daniel-
I feel your pain my friend- and I can relate. I've been searching for the reason I feel like such dookie and have gone thru the hoops trying to get answers- the biggest problem I have though is that I've gotten too many answers (hashis, adrenal fatigue, severe allergies, etc..). But..... even though they have found some issues I have yet to get any relief- tried synthroid and Armour- got my numbers into pretty good shape but my symptoms were the same. My only suggestion is to try anything- I'm trying homeopathy- and the only reason is because I was looking for another opinion when I found an osteopath- guy spent two hours with me talking symptoms, life history, personality, lifestyle- couldn't hide a thing!! But when I was done I felt like he had a better sense of my life and my body than any other Dr. I had seen. He swears by homeopathy (even though he also uses conventional meds- and is alo a surgen). Like I said before- don't give up- I can't tell you how many docs I've been to- and most of them have different opinions!! Keep your mind open- it may not be thyroid related even though the symptoms seem to match (these symptoms will prety much match anyone who isn't feeling well in general!!!) Good luck!!!

Re: what do u do when u have tried everything

hey slade...sheesh,,,from what uve been thru , ur post up there could have had my name at the top of it .....same kinda story as mine....ive seen that many doctors i could be one myself almost....

what kind of allergies do u have??

at the age of 17 i developed allergies to dust etc..i have days when i sneeze a few hundred times.... couple that with servere muscle wasting and i have one hell of sore body the next day....

homeopathy....they use substances that have caused ur body damage, but in a diluted manner to try to even it out ...as im sure u know...but no homeopath could figure out what has caused my problem to begin with so there clueless as of how to approach me....can u explain to me what theyre actually doing pertaining to ur problem to help u ??

"Keep your mind open- it may not be thyroid related even though the symptoms seem to match".<------ive read alot of peoples posts on this board and im yet to see one person who has muscle tremors / spasms from head to toe...i cant even smile anymore without my cheeks shuddering .its taken 10 years but im finally to the point where the left hand side of my body is as good as useless.., but i wll go pick up the armour thyroid prescription and give it a try,.as u said i have nothing to lose basically....

i wish u good luck to slade

Slade ive been seeing an osteo,,,he says he dosnt think its thyroid as my weight isnt extreme either way....but ive read that not everyone displays all the symptoms...
i'm neither over- nor underweight (unless i pig out too much), and i'm hypO ...

i'm in somewhat the same state as you, having had a "stroke" 8 years ago that is attributable to absolutely nothing (that they can find), and now i'm hypo on top of it

i have a feeling that it is all the same disease process -- but what?? (i have MVP and seasonal allergies, and have never been particularly strong, altho' my endurance used to be good -- not now!!) ...

sure hope the armour helps you ...

Re: what do u do when u have tried everything

my allergies are mostly environmental (trees, weeds, grasses, cats) but they are all severe- my back looked like one big welt when they were done with me!! So the homeopathy I'm trying is phosphorus- and I won't try to explain the whole school of thought because I'll sound like a moron- I know just enough to get confused- but like I said- it's worth a shot. I've read tons of research about homeopathy and some of it is quite astounding. The osteopath I'm seeing has been practicing homeopathy for 18 years- and he said that about 4 years into it he almost quit because his success rate was only like 20%- he told me that it takes a long time to actually get really good at understanding homeopathy. It was a really cool experience for me- guy was just super cool and asked some super deep questions. Three years ago I would have thought it was weird but now I really dug it and was pleased to see a dr. dig so deep for clues about what could help me. It will be interesting to see if it helps....
I'm really sorry to hear about your muscle issues- seems like with such obvious physical symptoms the drs. could figure it out- goes to show how little they really know huh?!?! I'm not familiar with your other posts so would you mind briefly explaining your situation and symptoms???

Re: what do u do when u have tried everything

2 things i can attribute my problem too....1st was a fall i had as a twelve year old,, landing on my neck heavily,, for about a minute i was paralyzed from the neck down,,my spine obviously went into shock for a minute...i was fine the next day.....then 7 years later i foolishly took some lsd,,a very small amount and it seemed to trigger some intense pain in my neck joints....then over the coming weeks the pain and stiffnes in my neck got worse...and then the muscle tremors and spasms began which have also worsened,,they are from head to toe literally ..my face now shudders when i smile and my left had side is being hit harder then my right hand side..perhaps because my left hand side was weaker originally...other symptoms are numbness in my hands ,,,pins n needles across most parts of my body.....the main thing is the muscle weakness though..if it was just a stiff neck i wouldnt be so worried...So basically my problem is self inflicted to a point....but still a diagnosis would be nice.........
