How old are the orthotricyclen users who have gotten worse?

I have noticed that many people say their skin got worse from using orthotricyclen. I was wondering how old those who got worse are? I am 37 years old and my OB prescvribed it for me, but I'm hesitant to start based on the deluge of bad press here on this forum. Thanks for any input.

I am 23 years old and have been taking them for 2 months - my skin has never looked worse....I was better off not taking anything. Everyone (boyfriend, family, doctor, etc) keeps telling me to give it 4-6 months, but I don't think I can put up with this crap much longer. Unfortunately, I have to be on some kind of birth control. You know the thing that totally baffles me is the fact that I didn't start breaking out until I turned 18!! I always thought acne was a teenage problem. I would recommend not taking the OTC...I've also tried OTC Lo, Lo Ovral, and Estrostep Fe and they all made my face worse. OF course, I might need to take advice and give them more time. Good luck!!

My daughter is 19 and has been on OTC for about 6 1/2 months. It's broken her out the entire time!!

im in the same shoes as u. my doctor said give it 5 months, so i guess ill try. and my mom is like, just try it . so i guess im going to next month. im kinda scared tho ,after reading this stuff on the board.im 16

I was 19 when I was on it and it was a bad story. Alesse was an even worse story. Yasmin was my answer!!!!!!
