Re: celebrex

I am on baclofen for the muscle relaxer.
It is like you go to the dr. The dr. says this and that and you say this and that and before you know it you are out the door. i went to a teaching hospital. i didn't care for the resident. the resident comes in before the dr. did. when i left i just wanted to cry.
thank you all for your input.
does six weeks sound right to you all in giving celebrex a good try?
thanks

Re: celebrex

Six weeks is a resonable amount of time. If you don't have any luck with it try the various others such as Mobic and Bextra. Many people respond better from them.

I suggest you see an actual rheumy and not a hospital situation. I have found often times they are not as helpful as someone who see's rhuemy patients day in and day out, especially the interns who do not by any means know as much about arthritis as a full blown doctor who has been treating it for many years.

Re: celebrex

I was prescribed Celebrex 200 mg/daily by my Ortho for shoulder and arm pain about 3 mos. ago. When I saw my Rheume about 2 mos. ago he increased it to 200 mg BID because I'm 6'2" and 200 lbs. He said that the 200 mg. was not enough for me and so far seems to be right. It does help some.

Of course at the same time I am now taking 10 mg, Percocet every 6 hours and 300 mg. of Neurontin every 6 hours. Something is working somewhat, not sure what.
