Acid Reflux??

Ok, I have so much mucous in my throat, it will not ever go away... When I sleep, it gets worse as well!! I did have heartburn, and short of breath as well!! I went to an ENT, and paid basically 250.00 for him to tell me, to use the nasal spray, and it might be better!! what great advice... Well anyways, this mucous is really bothering me, I have to basically force it out, b/c it sucks.. any suggestions ???? i tried to use Protonix, and that really does not do anything!! how in the world, can I fix this

Argh, I know how you feel! I also have something similar to this. I constantly have to clear my throat and it gets progressively worse when I lay down. I got it about 4 years ago out of nowhere.

My doctor told me it was Acid Reflux and prescribed me a high dosage of Zantac. The Zantac did nothing so he prescribed me Claritin thinking it was an allergy. This did nothing either. So basically no one has the answers for my situation which stinks because now I guess I have to live with this irritation. Hope all goes well with you!

the treatment for acid reflux (which is associated with sinusitis and asthma) is high dose proton pump inhibitors eg 60mg lansoprazole/day if needed. don't expect instant results, give them 4 weeks and see if there is a difference
