Re: Electro Cath...for PVC treatment

glad to hear that youre doing ok!

if you dont mind me asking however....

the heart flutters are completly gone???

do you think that your fatigue and recovery time is due more to the procedure or the heart medication your on??

would age have anything to do with it?

would you do it again or is it too early to tell??

appreciate all the details about this. Id hate to have this done, but figure i should get as much info about PVC's as i can. ill defiantly be intrested in what your doc says when you see him in august

good luck!!

Re: Electro Cath...for PVC treatment

flutter gone? sometimes i think i feel one but i am looking and i do have created anxiety. i don't sleep on my left side because i can feel my heart beating and i don't like that. GOOD it is beating. every reaction to this procedure is almost gone. dizziness, auras in my eyes (i was having them daily) and all the others. i still am left with very low b/p and my dr. is removing some i took (4) for quite high pressure for years. the last time it was 112/63 and not my lowest. my pulse is also low. it ranges from 57-63 and that also i low for me. my fatigue afternoon continue. do to this? my sugar is reading is coming down. i was diet controlled. it runs in the range of 6.4 alc now. i have lost 41lbs in the last year choosing different foods as my life style.
yes, i think it is too early to know the results. it takes 3mos and then i will return to the u of m dr. it was a easy procedure to go thru but i guess i thought it would be the results of like a tooth pulled. NOT! keep replying to me and i will tell you more as time goes on. perhaps the o of m dr. will recomment a cardioligist that comes to my hometown. time will tell.

Re: Electro Cath...for PVC treatment

week number 5 after ablation. all symptoms have subsided. i thing they were all results of the procedure and needed several weeks to get into order. funny, even though the procedure seemed easy, i was left with odd symptoms. ONLY FEW LEFT ARE LOW B/P WHICH USED TO BE HIGH, LOW PULSE AND AN ONGOING AFTERNOON TIREDNESS, SOMETIME TO A STAGE OF FATIGUE. HUM?

Re: Electro Cath...for PVC treatment

3mos after cath ablation for atrial fib and flutter, i've had several spells like fainting, racing heartbeat, elevated pulse (100) for the last month, and i walk a little wobbly but don't seem dizzy. i get weak at any activity besides sitting or laying down. after my 3mos return visit to the ablator, his ekg showed now i had atrial flutter on the left side of my heart (he fixed the one on the right side). after that i had a trip to the er and they stablized my heart with cardizem drip. i now take cardizen 60mg 2x, toprol xl 200 mg, blood thinner, and rhythmol 3x. so many pills that i just ordered a pill reminder. 3 weeks from now, another ekg and if not gone i will have cardio version, and if not gone another ablation.

Re: Electro Cath...for PVC treatment

the procedure was a breeze. the only part that hurt was laying on your back for 5hrs afterwards. they give you drugs for pain though. nothing else hurt.
since may i seem to have another flutter but in my left atrium. the dr. from u of m said he cured the one on the right side. this one is more trouble. i walk a little wobbly, my heart was racing and making me so weak the other day, we went to er. they stablized it with cardizem drip which i am now taking in pill form along with rhthmol and toprol. so far so good until my next appt. in 2 weeks with my own md here. he will take another ekg (glad they don't hurt) and send it on to u of m. if not gone, on and on with whatever they want me to do. i would rather do this at 64 than at 90 and that would be a long miserable life. i feel like i'm whining all the time but can't do much anymore like this and i want to do it all.....
