Wink Re: Concerta questions

My experiences with Provigil 200 mg taken upon waking up - 18 months:

Purpose was to keep me awake as I was taking other anti-dep and anti-anxiety and high bp stuff - all of them in varying doses in the morning.... COULD NOT GET UP or stafy AWAKE! Provigil turned out to be my saving grace with one caveat (in a moment) and Provigil with Adderrall XR 50 mg was firing all of my 8 cylinders in harmony. The one caveat to any drug combination that I am highly sensitive to is the mandatory 8 hours of my beauty (delta) sleep. If that gets screwed up, the next day, I would rather be in twilight zone, sipping worm filled taqs/margeritas.

Now, I am on Concerta which does NOT have the punch/kick *** that Adderrall gave me. I turned into a pathetic little weasal that was disgusted at my self. Yes, I do take 54 Mg/max dosage and Yes, my shrink does NOT want to screw with increasing it. Anyway, the good thing that I experienced with Adderrall was the consistency of delivery of outcome/results. I mean you knew that once you popped the pill, n minutes later, cylinders would be firing and reached alll firing sequence soon. Concerta, is another story - do NOT want to bore or turn anyone off....will share it if requested....especially, because it also has to do with Paxil CR and libido performance.

Talking Re: Concerta questions

hello-

ok. Im 21 yrs old and just started on concerta about 30 days ago. Give it some time. Its not going to always work for you the first day that you take it. you have to let it get in your system. I love it, it has worked wonderfully for me. Also remeber that ye s it is a stimulant so it you take it at 12 in the afternoon you are probably going to be up untill midnight. It is a 12 hr drug. the other thing is that it is a controlled substance. right now you are on a trial period for how ever many days the doc gave it to you for. once he/she knows that is is or is not working they will either adjust it or write you a new script for a longer period of time. i got like i said and have been on uit for almost 30 days and everyone around me can tell the difference. i concentrate better and i get alot more things done. so try giving it a chance and a few more days before you determine if it is or is not working. if it still is not working you need to let the doc know. write back
