Hi everyone, i am a constant worry wart, cant help it!! I for the last 4-5 months have had this throat congestion and i make myself cough to get it out to no avail, also when i make a deep cough it feels like something moves like phlegm or something, doc told me i have asthma with allergies and mild bronchitis, no antibiotic seems to clear this up...i am on allegra now, has anyone ever had this either? I am afraid its cancer or something, i am a 29 yr old female, non-smoker...thanks

I am not a doctor but you most likely don't have cancer and what your doctor told you sounds logical. No antibiotics can clear this up. You just need to keep your passages clear and maybe start with some warm to hot liquids to loosen the mucus.

Sometimes allergies to food can cause a phlem problem. Dairy products, wheat, corn and potatoes can be the worst offenders. Try going off of them for a few weeks and see if your throat problem clears up.

allegra DOESNT work for me and i have both asthma and allergies. I get phlem really bad but Alavert D 12hr clears it right now. i HIGHLY doubt you have cancer.

Thanks alot everyone i have been freaking out all day because i cant clear this congestion, doc called me in zyrtec with nasonex so we will see how this goes.
