Sometimes I will sit up there for fifteen minutes!!! It is embarrassing but I just can't help it sometimes. I do agree, if I don't touch my face or look in the mirror, I don't pick, and I only pick at night. I just can't handle any resemblence of a zit or blemish. I get the flesh colored ones, you know, just little bump that NO ONE ELSE sees, and those are the ones I go for. I don't break out much, but my skin is very very oily. So, no matter what, I get new little bumps every day, and I have to sqeeze. I have even had dreams-this is gonna be kinda gross. But, I have this huge huge whitehead in the middle of my forehead, like two inches in diameter, and when I sqeeze it, it explodes all over the mirror. Sorry if that was too nasty, but just goes to show how deep my habit is.
Well, I am very happy you have obstained from picking! I hope you can continue-Good luck and happy clear face!
I totally agree with you about the stress thing. When ever I get sad or someone is mean to me, always poke. And I have just recently been trying to stop because I will scar myself. Id like to help motivate you not to poke, if you can help me too. Try to post each day you go that you dont poke like i do. It helps me to not poke because i feel if i do, im letting everyone thats reading and helping me down too. Good luck!!!

that dream thing is actually funny because i to pick at my face (well trying to stop right now ) but i also cover my marks with makeup religiously, i have to, im so embarassed of them and dont want anyone to see them and wont let anyone touch my face, but just lastnight i had a dream that i was being pinned down and couldnt move while this kid was touching my face and rubbing off my makeup to see all my red marks!...i was completely devistated!!... but it just also shows how much i think of my face and how self concious i am, god that was up there with one of the worst dreams of my life, (besides real life where i actually have to deal with stupid blemishes)...but anyway, hopefully if i stop picking i wont have to wory so much about covering up difficult pick marks, because that (picking) is the cause of most of my blemishes and face problems...

I use duac (I believe the same as benzamycin... it's benzoyl peroxide 5% and Clindamycin 1%) gel in the 45gram tube and it barely lasts me a month. How much are you using? I've tried to cut back a little. I usually smear it on pretty thick, but I think just a very very thin layer would work.
