Im not sure if it was a DEA push or a huge lobbyist push, The pharma industry has 3 lobbyist for every Cman and Senator in washington, this bill was rejected by congress and passed by the Senate and signed off by GB111 to limit the percieved loss our pharma industry would incure by selling the exact same meds to canada for 1/3 the price. Pharma industriy doesn't want americans getting the same deal Canada does, didn't we elect these guys to represent our wishes and needs?
How did this happen? $$$$$$$$$$$ forthe Parma industry and reelection campaigns and our wonderful Prez GB111 signed this bill making it a law.
I guess it's hard to make money when you devote 15 years, numerous research grants and tax breaks to the most pofitable industry in the world. We wouldn't want Purdue to have to actually earn the money back for R&D in a competitive market and take any more than a year to be back in the black for their hard work.
The succces of Pharma industry isn't even comaparable to any other industry. The
gross proffit margin on bulk medication ranges from 3,000%-500,000% from the actual cost of manufacturering bulk pharmacueticals untill it reaches the shelves of your retail pharmacy. How else could the pharma inducstries stay alive.LOL
Pharma companies spend as much on lobbying as they do on R&D. So they have earned a nice tax cut and millions in research grants to offset their losses from free med programs and R&D. LOL
You can't complain if you don't vote.
