I went through them same thing and it took me for EVER and a ton of $$$$ before I finally figured out that all that was causing the problem was my blow dryer! The lint screen in the back was full of lint and it was causing my dryer to get too hot & that in turn was burning my head. I do not know how it kept flom blowing up on me! I noticed that one day it was smoking while I was drying my hair and I turned it off & the coils on the inside were actually glowing. I was going to throw it away & my husband just took it apart and cleaned out the lint screen & that solved my problem!
Just a thought for ya!
Good luck, I know how bad this sucks!

Hi, I had this problem also.

I have a very sensitive scalp and anything will irritate my skin.

If it keeps up or if you begin having flakes on your scalp, try a shampoo called Nizoral.
It costs about 13-15 bucks but works really well.
I used to get with a prescription from dermatologists, but they now sell it at any store.
It is a 1% medicated shampoo, and you use can use it every other day for a week or two and it should help.
Then you just use it once in a while to keep your scalp medicated,

There is also some herbal shampoos that work well you can get at any herb store.

good luck.=)

oh yeah....if you dont want to spend alot for shampoo,
you can first try a hot oil treatment.
Only costs a few bucks at any store and its easy.
Just sit the packet in hot water for a few minutes to heat up the oil, rub it into hair and scalp, and wash out well.

Here are a couple deep conditioning treatments you can make yourself:

***AVOCADO DEEO CONDITIONER***
Ingredients:
1 small jar of mayonnaise
1/2 avocado

Directions:
Peel avocado and remove pit. Mash avocado then mix all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl with your hands until it's a consistent green color. Smooth into hair. Use shower cap or plastic wrap to seal body heat in. Leave on hair for 20 minutes. For deeper conditioning wrap a hot, damp towel around your head over the plastic, or use a hair dryer set to a low to medium heat setting. Store extra in refridgerator.

***FRUIT SALAD DEEP CONDITIONER***
Ingredients:
1/2 a banana
1/4 avocado
1/4 cantaloupe
tablespoon wheat germ oil
1 tablespoon yogurt

Directions:
Blend all ingredienets. Apply to hair. For extra conditioning, squeeze in the contents of a vitamin E capsule. Leave in hair for 15 minutes. Then rinse.

I have had the same problem, at one time my scalp was very itchy, it was so bad I would make my scalp bleed from scratching so much, and it formed some scabs, then I would scratch at the scabs, until one day I started to use nioxin, and deep conditioner on my hair, and it worked, for some reason it just did. I think mine also had to do with the fact that I was dehydrated. GL

I agree with the dehydrated thing, I tend to get like that when the summer comes, and I’ve noticed it this week, the temperature has been at 90-100 and my head has been itchy. When it gets scabby and flaky I usually use Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment and it goes away. Plus I drink more water than usual.
