Blood pressure at night at lot lower than in the morning

Hello all,

I went to bed last night with a BP of 117/71 which is pretty low for me. The last two nights have been this low. When I woke up this morning I was fairly dizzy and my wife joked if I was drunk. I decided to test my BP and it was at 150/98. I am currently on 80mg of LA Inderal and 10 mg of Altace taken in the morning. I had just taken my pills and had just eaten and come out the shower (not all at the same time ). My doc said that the amount of meds I am on is low by 'normal' standards. Just curious if this should be a concern....

Hey Punchy,

Are you taking your own BP with an automatic machine? Blood pressure is measured in even numbers. I wouldn't be concerned until the doctor says otherwise.

I am not sure what you mean by 'even numbers'? I am using a machine at home. Whenever I see the doc he says he is happy with where my BP is.
