Mixing Topical and Overnight Treatment - Please Help

I'm currently on the topical benzamycin and it's working pretty good. It really drys your skin though. Once in a while, I still get a bad pimple, the ones that start very red and deep underneath your skin. I was hoping I could use an overnight patch or an 'on-the-spot' treatment for those specific pimples, except it says on the patch and the spot cream that you should not mix them with other acne treatments.

I was wondering if anyone knows more about mixing these, if they have done it themselves, and if it's all right to do so. Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks
