It has helped me very much to use Citrucel and/or Metamucil 2 to 3 times a day. I sounds funny to use what is sometimes called a fiber laxative to help diarraha, but what it does is help to bulk up the loose stools. Try it for 2 weeks and see what you think. Make sure to drink lots of water after each dose too. I also try to eat small low fat meals several times a day instead of stuffing my stomach. It seems to me that the last time I had a attack I may have overeaten. Our symptoms sound very similar. Hope this helps you. Let me know.

Those episodes were rare, only 3-4 in my life, but so severe,... it just seemed logical to me to assume it was my heart all this time.

I was also treated for panic attacks, put on beta blockers (which drove me absolutely crazy) and cardizem.

A long time ago I had an upper and lower GI and echo (I'm scheduling an upper GI upcoming and another echo.

I never thought these were connected.

Currently, I have "mulk dud" poops, they look like hard stones. One BM per day each morning.

And a lot, lot of gas and distention.

I have not seen any specialists, just my primary because I didn't know where to go. My physicals turn up normal, nothing on palpation, I get yearly pap and rectals and pelvic, and they're always normal, I have my abdomen palpated.

I thought it was vagus nerve related as well because of problems I have swallowing, and the pain I have runs down the mid/left section of my body through my throat.

My arms go numb a LOT and I need to shake them out, not even sure if that's related too.

I also have a lot of spinal issues so didn't know if it was related. With my dad's history of heart/stomach problems it scared me a bit.

I never connected all of these together until I came to this board. I"ve never seen one board so incredibly thorough, covering so many issues.

I've posted all over trying to find out "where" is the right place.

I haven't sought out any specialists on my own, didn't know how or if I needed to since my doc didn't seem to imply I did.

I am so sorry for everyone's pain and yet a part of me feels so relieved to find other people who know what I'm talking about, and I don't feel like I'm over reacting now, I feel like this is very real.

I'm a little concerned, I admit, to go to my doctors, because I feel like I have this huge list of symptoms and that alone (and I'm female) will have an impact... my list could fill a whole page. (I'm also being treated for other issues, so to try and reitterate this and add to my already existing list, feels so overwhelming).

Hope for your dumping syndrome. I have had half my stomach taken out. Dumping syndrome takes place when your food enters your upper intestine, but for what ever reasonyou no longer have the fluid there to digest your intake. Your intestines try to get liquid by taking it from your blood system, causing your body to go into shock. Thus the weakness and sweating. Eventually the food just dumps into your lowerintestine, thus the name dumping syndrone. you must chew your food well and drink lots of liquid when you eat smaller meals. Byrd

Sorry that you've had to go through dumping syndrome. I'll tell you one thing, though, though maybe the inside of your diverticuli might be scraped, and cut up, I can assure you they haven't "exploded" because a perforated intestine would be a LOT worse than just a little bit of weakness; however, if you honestly believe at some point that your bowel has indeed perforated, bust over to the hospital IMMEDIATELY. A torn hollow organ is life-threatening!!!
