Talking Birth Control?

I have been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for appproximately one month. I think I have been experiencing side effects such as depression, migraine headaches and nausea. I know there is an adjustment period. However, I noticed that when I am taking the placebo pills, I feel like my old self (no depression). Anyone else experience this?

I talked to my OB/Gyn and discussed with her the possibility of taking Desogen to help with my acne. Anybody take this pill and did it help with acne? Also, did anybody take both pills and which, in your opinion, worked the best at controlling their acne? Thanks a lot for your replies in advance. Catch you on the flip side.

Re: Birth Control?

I'm also finnishing up my second month of ortho tri-cyclen. I haven been breaking out more to, in an area that I normally don't break out in...my neck. My skin is not as oily as it used to be which I'm happy about and that's the only good thing I have to say about ortho. I know my skin may be going through an initial breakout and that it may get better if I continue. I will stop after this month though because like you I suffer from other side effects as well, depression, loss of sexual desire etc.
I sure hope my face doesn't get worse after stopping!

Re: Birth Control?

No my face did not get worse after stopping it got better..Every tiem I ;ve tried to take any of the Ortho bcpills i had worse skin so I'm staying away from them much happier on Alesse..(Avianne generic form)..i think orthoTricyclen and orthoTricyclenLo makes it worse..despite its claims to improve skin..get off it..you;ll be better off..
