I took Demulen a few yrs back and didnt gaina pound htn wnet on it more recent and gained like 5-7 pounds ...took ALeese for th past month and gained a few more..I just took myself off the bc pill..was so tired of the side effects..arghhhhh
I got off the pill and started using Nuvaring. Its so much better than the pill, you don't have to remember it everyday, plus my periods are much shorter than they were on the pill, only about 3 days long now. Plus I haven't gained a pound since I started.
Its a thin ring that you insert and it sits up against your cervix and emits hormones into you through your bloodstream. Think diaphragm without the cup part, just the outter ring. You leave it in for 3 weeks and then you take it out for one week. You can't feel it during sex or any other time during the day.
