Iressa Inquiry

My grandmother has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 non small cell lung cancer. She is currently receiving low doses of chemotherapy and intensive radiation, both of which have left her in a debilitated state. We have been advised that the chemotherapy is causing throat ulcers and other infections. My family and I are now researching alternatives and have heard of promising Iressa results. My family resides in the St. Petersburg area but are willing to travel anywhere. If anyone has any information regarding the availability of this drug, or knows of clinical trials in our area, that information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless.

You can call the company that makes Iressa, AstraZeneca. Call their 800 number, you can get the number from their website on-line. They will give you a list of doctors in your area who are taking part in the Expanded Access Program for Iressa. Best of luck to you. Take care.
