I do know that several endocrine glands can cause it, Chris in addisons board I believe has this it might pay to post there also. Some of the causes of secondary hypothyroidism include: Hypothalamic hypothyroidism, Pituitary hypothyroidism and or drug induced hypothyroidism which is caused by drugs such as dopamine, amiodarone and lithium. The adrenal glands can also play their part and for that info try addisons board on this site.
